Thanks you Chicago area DUers
My son and I had a great trip to your area. We stayed in Gurnee, right by the Gurnee Mills Mall. That's a huge place. There were so many good places to eat in the general vicinity. I even went to White Castle (no big deal). Thanks for the Metralink tip. We rode it on Saturday the 14th from Highwood to downtown for only $5.00 round trip. A great value and very relaxing.

The Navy boot camp graduation was very nice, minus the propaganda video we had to sit thru. I'm glad my son had time to spend with his sweetie since they likely won't see each other for a couple of years. I think they're remaining, I believe the term is "friends with benefits".

I loved all of the massive buildings and took quite a few photos. The Sears Tower was absolutely bitchin'. It was very clear and we could see four states. I'm ruined on pizza now. We went to Giordano's downtown and now our local best pizza tastes like flavored cardboard. I guess I'll have to dumb down my taste buds.

I cruised north up into Wisconsin to Milwaukee. Stayed on I-94 and only got off to turn back. The areas I saw looked gross, except for Miller Park. On the way back I stopped at Harley dealers in Kenosha and Racine to pick up mementos. And thanks for the tip on the Cheese Castle. Good cheese, even though I think CA cheese is better.

The weather cooperated and it only snowed a little on Friday and Tuesday. Overall, pleasant weather.

Thanks again
Semi
