1. Exercise in a rubber suit
Just kidding.

Ramp up your exercise program and try to cut another couple hundred calories out of your diet.

3. Sounds a bit pinchy.
But I'm training for triathlon. I think my diet needs a serious adjustment, though.

Thanks!

Just so you know, I certainly did not mean the whole rubber suit business. :hi:

No, no I understood. Although I'd prefer to feel like Supergirl when I exercise, so maybe I'll give it a try, anyway.

8. Right... that's what I thought...
Although it does seem to take a bit. I've actually gained 2 lbs. since I started. I've been swimming and cycling. When the weather gets warmer I'll do more running.

I feel good, anyway, so what the hell.

15. If you can't lose it training for a triathlon...
I think it's probably in integral part of your body.

Other suggestion: no breads or baked goods or sugar!

13. Ok, how about your head? They average 16lbs!
Edited on Sun Jan-22-06 10:44 PM by JanMichael
Not sure about the legs but I imagine they weight more and it wouldn't prevent you from laughing.

EDIT: If you have a BIG head you'll get your 20lb loss.

16. In that case, I'd have to start working on my mojo.
My cranium simply can't contain a brain that large. I'll need head expanders, too... and perhaps some type of Monster Cable-styled brain stem to increase bandwidth from my spinal column...

Yeah... big head... hrmmm... you have me thinking now...

17. Between may of 1998 and March of 1999
I lost 125 lbs.

It took me another 14 months to lose "the last 20 pounds," which weren't even the last twenty -- I could have taken another 20 or so off, after that. I, too, was training for a (sprint) triathalon -- biking 15 miles 4 times a week, running a 5k every day, as well as weightlifting and aerobics 2-3 times a week.

I never did the triathalon. I decided to drink, instead. Then, I got pregnant. But those last 20 pounds that I lost were a bitch. My trainer, however, said that maybe I could lose more by eating MORE. She gave me a 1600 calorie requirement -- up from the 300 - 600 a day that I was eating before. (Mania kept me going). I laid down on the floor of the grocery store and cried. I had no idea how, after two years of starving myself, to eat 1600 calories a day.

Anyway, depending on how much swimming you're doing, you could always do more with weights on your upper body. And make sure that if you are doing weights, and you don't want to bulk up, that you're doing them to maximize muscle tone and flexibility. Definitely no sugar, no white bread/rice, enriched grains, etc. Drink green tea, and -- a little secret: drink Kefir, or eat plain yogurt.

20. Congrats on your weight loss!
Your pointers are very good.

Why did your trainer say that you should eat more?
