Good Saturday Morning, Everybody!
:donut::hi:
Here we are at the weekend now, so welcome to the Saturday edition of the Early Morning Crew! :bounce: I hope, in all, that you had good work week and that you have lots of fun stuff planned for the next two days! I, myself, have to work both of these days, but such is the life of someone who works in retail. I do have NEXT weekend off...the first one since before Thanksgiving...so I'm REALLY looking forward to THAT!

1. Hey Clintmax!
Edited on Sat Jan-21-06 06:39 AM by Fox Mulder
I have to work all weekend as well. I have to work tonight from 10 pm until 6 am, and tomorrow at the same time. Ugh. I hate working nights...but I hate working weekends most of all.

The only fun I'll be having this weekend is watching both the AFC and NFC championship football games. Sad, eh?

3. Morning, FoxM!
:hi:
We're in the same boat, you and I! Except for the overnight thing. My store isn't open 24 hours, thank all the gods! It's not "sad"...when you work overnight like that, there's not much more you CAN do.

2. Good morning Clint!
Working all weekend, eh? I can empathize with you on that. :puke:

"In Your Wildest Dreams" I remember that from high school--at least I think that's when it came out.

4. Morning, Miss Buffy!
:hi::hug:
It's good to see you again today! There's no rest for a retail manager, that's for sure! "In Your Wildest Dreams" hit number 9 on the Billboard Charts (it's peak position) on 5/24/1986. I love that song!

7. Good morning, Clintmax!
:donut: :hi: :hug:

We're still in TN but will be heading home tonight. We found a beautiful piece of land, almost 8 acres. Let the excitement begin!

Sorry you have to work the weekend. I hope you have fun stuff planned for next weekend! :bounce:

8. Morning, Miss Airmens!
:bounce::hi::loveya:
It's good to see you again! I was wondering how it was going in TN! Have you run into any snow and ice or anything? I'm glad to hear you found some great land too!

10. Whew! Thought I might have missed you.
Yes, we had bad weather last weekend, but it was just rain. Then it snowed on Tuesday, I think. Our son-in-law ran his car into a ditch on his way to work that day. It's been warm and nice the last 2 days.

Here's the view to the south. Our property is the one with all the little trees in it. It's sloping, so it's bigger than it looks in the picture. There are some great little woods (oak trees) on the east side that didn't come out in this pic.

14. Thanks.
The trouble was finding a builder who will go out there. But we're good to go. I'm sure I'll be writing to tell you how COLD it is up here next winter while you're basking in that warm sunshine. :)

After we get home, I have to clean up the house. My brother's been there pet sitting for us all week ... no telling what shape it's in now. It goes on the market next Saturday.

How are things in FL this weekend?

17. Pet sitting, huh?
You're right...no telling WHAT your house looks like! :rofl: Hopefully, though, he's kept things done up and not made a mess.

Sounds like you are well on your way on the house thing! Keep me appraised, you hear?

Things are GREAT as far as the weather goes. It's almost 70 right now and we're looking for a high of 75 both today and tomorrow! :woohoo:

19. Yeah.
It was cheaper to fly him down from NJ than to pay a professional pet sitter. And he's a diver, so he welcomed the chance to have an all-expenses-paid FL vacation and dive in some warm water. But he only agreed to feed the cats and scoop the litter box ... and he's not exactly the neatnick of the family. And I can't believe I even let him use my car! I've only ever let two other people drive it. :scared:

I'll keep you informed every step of the way, Captain! :pals:

It sure will feel good to get back to where we can peel off some of these clothes. We'll enjoy our last few months in FL. :) This is the most beautiful part of the year down there, isn't it? It's my favorite time until May.

People are waking up now, so I'll be going for now. Next time you hear from me, I'll be back home in FL. It was GREAT to see you again! I've missed you! :hi: :hug: :loveya:

:hi::hug:
Or, good afternoon in your case! Sometimes it DOES feel good to sleep in. I even do it sometimes...I hate it when I do because I feel like the day is half over, but I think the body needs it once in a while.

15. I sure needed it
last week I had enough troubles getting out of bed in the morning. I was looking forward to sleeping in :)

Now I should take a shower and go gorcerie shopping. Good thing the stores are open till 8pm nowadays (used to be only till 2pm, then 4pm). Enough time to get everything done.

:hug:

21. For a week for two persons
a cat and a dog? It's ok I would say. Of course I spend less, but I normally don't buy food for a week, just a couple of days. I am someone who decides day by day what to eat. I can't say I am going to eat that or that in 6 days. Not possible :)

I just cooked lunch for myself and my friend, and it came out very nice.

The weather here is very good. It is quite cold but the sun is shining brightly. I also have to go out and buy groceries. :)
