4. Another good one,
and honestly, I shouldn't let the fact that I am thouroughly bored with Eric Clapton count against Layla. That was a masterful coda. Plus it has Duane Allman! :D

7. Spacemen 3's cover of the 13th Floor Elevators' "Rollercoaster"
Edited on Thu Jan-19-06 03:35 PM by anarch
Because it adds about 13 entire minutes to the overall song length.

on edit, I don't know if that really tops stuff like:

Suck a cheetah's dick
Suck a cheetah's dick
Suck a cheetah's dick
Suck a cheetah's dick

Polaroid, see what develops

So you've got a point there with the Wesley Willis.

9. Jim Gordon's piano coda on Layla, later develops schizophrenia, murders
his mother.

Jim Gordon was the DRUMMER for Derek and the Dominoes

quote:

They formed a new band which was eventually called Derek & The Dominos. Gordon played on the group's acclaimed 1971 double album Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs and composed and played the elegiac piano coda for the title track.

(jump)
In the late 1970's, Gordon complained of hearing voices in his head. He was later diagnosed with acute paranoid schizophrenia, which ended his music career.

In 1983, Gordon was convicted of murdering his mother and was sentenced to life in prison. He currently spends most of his time at Atascadero State Hospital.
