Goes without saying that I will have some bang bang shrimp. But should I order the salmon, the grouper, or the sea bass, all grilled with a choice of toppings.

Thoughts?

I'm being very indecisive today and need a little push.

Did you try the Bang Bang Shrimp? Absolutely out of this world.

16. Have you ever been to one of these places?
It started out in FL as a single restaurant, and is now owned by the Outback folks.

The seafood is indescribably delicious. Really, really fresh with an assortment of delicious ways to top it or prepare it. They have all kinds of delicious side orders, but their steamed veggies are second to none.

The bang bang shrimp is an appetizer with a light cajun flavor cream sauce. It is out of this world.

Now, the downside. Pricey. So it is not a regular thing.

It does sound heavenly.

The pricey aspect might give me pause...I'm not Mr. Moneybags, unfortunately.

If they have a history of good salmon, that's what I'd get.

Now, I'm hungry and we have crap for seafood places around here :(

29. I went to a place once for Easter with the whole family
and when I ordered the salmon, they asked me "How do you want it cooked". I must have looked shocked because she continued "well, rare, medium?" I gulped and said. "Yes, I want it cooked. Please".

I think the young thing was thinking about tuna, because unless it is smoked, I have never seen a restaurant serve raw salmon, barring sushi of course.

31. I probably would have left...
I don't know if I could trust a place where someone asked me a question like that.

We do our own salmon here at home anyway. From time to time, Walmart(please, don't kill me) will sell full frozen salmon. I'll buy one or two if I've got room in the freezer. We use olive oil, lemon, onion, a dash of seasoning, fresh chives and wrap it up in foil. Then outside on the grill it goes. Yummy!!!

I was buying cupcakes for my daughter's class from (*looks around nervously*) Sam's, and they had the most spectacular salmon filets that they were poaching in a lemon citrus broth. It was delicious.

I really, really, love salmon.

But, oh, that sounds absolutely fab!

We all love salmon here, but have to be careful at how much we eat. I hear most salmon always has some mercury.

Your secret is safe with me. :)

17. CB, you HAVE to go.
You will probably need a reservation unless you are willing to sit in the bar, which is usually fine. Not a lot of smoking, and since I am really sensitive to smoke, I don't have a problem with it. One of my friends with whom I am going tonight is a social smoker and she always wants to sit in the bar, but somehow at this place, it doesn't affect me.

You should definitely check out the menu on the net and take Mrs. CB. It is fabulous food, with a really nice atmosphere.

I'm glad the Bonefish Grill opened up near us recently. I think it was the special I had, and it really was very good. Damn, now I wish I had a babysitter for tonight!

41. You know, when my kids were younger, I never went anywhere
I had the hardest time finding a babysitter. All the kids here either had sports, or dance, or theater, so it just wasn't worth it. The only time we could ever get a sitter was during the week, and until about 9 or so. What fun is that?

Now my eldest is 15, so I have this little teeny taste of freedom once in a while. Of course, the 9 year old will call me a dozen times asking when I am coming home. :eyes:

but she moved over an hour away and now my elderly grandmother lives with her, so we don't get her babysitting services much anymore; mostly just for special occasion stuff. I'll check and see if they do takeout :)

43. You had a real, live grandma to babysit?
I am SOOOO jealous. My mom and dad were in CT, and the outlaws were in MA, but more importantly, not interested. My dad wasn't well, so there was no way they could have babysat for us.

I do admit some envy for my friends who have healthy moms and dads willing to watch the kids.

34. I was underwhelmed when I went there
when I was on a business trip a couple of years ago...I wonder if I went on an off night or to an off location, based on the praise everyone is giving it....(I honestly don't remember where I was -- convention centers seem to blend into each other -- Orlando maybe?)

44. No, really, enjoy
Have a GREAT meal, with no kids around, no people yapping on cellphones or refusing to put out their smokes, and a waiter without his/her head up their ass, a bartender that knows what they're doing, and the best parking spot in the house, and a table not near the entrance OR the kitchen doors
