I've got an interview for a contract position on Thursday, made contact on a job I'd applied for previously and was strongly encouraged to apply this time, applications in for 4 more and my parents have backed off on the required moved to their town in the northwest.
A friend's church has an emergency fund for people like me and I handed in the paperwork today. I hope they can at least help get my gas and electricity caught up. I emailed my folks and gave them an update on the job search and all the agencies I've contacted for help and my mother called. "We'll send you money." :wow: I told her I was trying not to bankrupt them. She said "you won't bankrupt us." What the???
I guess I need to learn that when it involves money and my family, there's gotta be drama. I've lost sleep, missed meals and all because I truly believed them when they said they would help but I had to move there.
They're sending a check. I won't be off-line after all.
Damn.
