"Hyperspace" drive being investigated
Quote: "A 'hyperspace' engine that could allow interstellar space travel through other dimensions is being investigated by the US government. The engine could let a spacecraft travel to Mars in three hours and to a star 11 light years away in 80 days, according to a report in New Scientist..."

I hope it works. The way things are going, I think I may want to leave this planet.

2. Now THAT's the kind of future I'm talking about.
It's fecking 2006, and where are the flying cars? The housekeeping robots? The jetpacks? This is the future, and what the HELL do we have to show for it except creeping biological degredation and a moran for a president? Ok, computers and the internet are cool, but not cool ENOUGH. The 21st century has been a wretched disappointment so far. I hope like hell I live long enough to see this be a reality.

5. As long as it's not a deep space probe of Mianus
Since it's in CT, it would be a monumental waste of tax money.

6. What they will find is probably something that makes a new weapon.
The biggest fist is the controller of power. For until others learn to take the same steroids, they cannot operate on equal terms.

And if it wasn't for the spies of 1948, chances are the US would have nuked again and again whenever it was deemed necessary and without fear of retribution. (just a rambling thought, take no notice.)

7. ah..."electrogravitic propulsion"
or something like that. I remember reading something to the effect that the military was commissioning all kinds of research on this basic idea back in the 50's, based on captured Nazi advanced weapons research stuff...or something.

"Another dimension" though, eh? Okie dokie.
