"in order" to . . . .
you can leave the "in order" out and just use "to"

2. maybe where you're from
but i was using dramatic license there and added an extra period to show emphasis.

and my criticism is relevant to style, while you are criticizing grammar.

why don't you just start your own grammar criticism thread?

and don't get me started on the use of "the fact that"

i've tried diuretics, purgatives, laxatives, but i can't get rid of this bloat.

6. The fact that this post was even started . . . .
Donald Rumsfeld is giving the President his daily briefing. He concludes by saying: "Yesterday, three Brazilian soldiers were killed."

"OH NO!" the President exclaims. "That's terrible!"

His staff sits stunned at this display of emotion, nervously watching as the President sits, head in hands.

Finally, the President looks up and asks, "How many is a brazillion?"
