I guy I know wrote this.
To my daughter:
1. Remember that girls are made from the happy tear drops of angels crying up in heaven. You are blessed in every way. 2. Little girls need never be afraid or scared, because they are born with 24-hour bodyguards - they’re called Dad. 3. Whenever you need to know who the sweetest girl is, go ask Dad, he will never lie to you. 4. Whenever someone hurts you or says hurtful things, just tell Dad. I will dry your tears and heal your heart. That’s my most important job. 5. Sometimes the world just doesn’t seem fair, and we feel like we can’t do anything right. Just come see Dad, I have a well-documented record of just how wonderful you are. 6. Don’t grow up too fast, being a grown up isn’t all that great. Need some proof? Ever heard of the fountain of age? 7. Tickling will cure just about any unhappy feeling. Laughter is nature’s way of sweeping out your heart. 8. Remember that Dad is the only man on the face of the Earth that will buy you dinner, a movie, walk you home and expect nothing in return. 9. Don’t let society dictate who you need to be, only you know what’s best for you. You are a unique and individual person, make yourself the woman you want to be. 10. No one can make you feel inferior without your permission. Follow your highest ideals, and when all else fails, just ask yourself, “What would Dad do?” 11. When you wake up in the morning, make a promise to love yourself at least half as much as Dad loves you. 12. When people hurt you or betray you, always remember that there is one person who will never turn his back on you, and will gladly redirect the ones who did.
