6. 2 floppy units, followed by all other media forms... 26 is a limit.
I think 26 is a limit, but I've never heard of "AA:"

7. A, C-I
A is a floppy, B is for the empty drive bay in case I install anything. C and D are hard drives, E-I are removable media, like my jump drive, camera and ipod.

11. Floppies are over
The drives are not even coming installed on new machines. Who needs 'em, anyway, when you can get a 256 mb flash drive for $20 USD? The day of the floppy has come and gone. CD will be next to fall.

9. The curse of Bill Gates: drive letters.
He had the perfect opportunity to get rid of them, but he let it slide right past.

The only way I don't get pissed off is to think of drive letters as exceptionally stupid names, like in "who the fuck would name a drive C?"

Microsoft would.

Idiots.

Now everyone who uses Windows thinks it's normal; there's a whole damned world of hard drives named "C."

Oh yeah, that and the horrible mutant 8088 code we are drowning in. What was IBM thinking when they decided to use a 4004 based microprocessor in their original Personal Computer? The little awkward beast was made for calculators and traffic light controllers, not general purpose computing.

:freak:  :silly:
