3. If you brain imploded, does that mean
your skull caved in too? I'm just trying to picture it.

4. Nope
my skull is an empty cavity now, in which the sound of a sewing machine echos endlessly.

8. Tree resin?
At least I'd smell nice.

Last night, I watched this thing on Animal Planet about carrier pigeons in WW2. I usually don't like war documentaries, but I thought it was pretty interesting.

5. At least it's not as messy as a brain explosion...
But I'm too lazy to find the GIF of the scene from Scanners, so I can't demonstrate.

7. That's why I sew by hand
Sewing machines make me crazy - they're noisy and they make my neck hurt and I can never get the tension to work right and when I finally do, I have to reload thread and it's off again....

So I sew by hand. I find it relaxing and quiet and I can watch TV or even read (depending on what I'm sewing). Takes a bit longer but keeps me (relatively) sane.

9. Personally, I love sewing by hand,
however, the nature of the costumes I'm making made it near impossible to sew by hand.

10. Ah, costumes
Sounds like deadlines and such as well. Luckily for me, all I ever sew are quilts (with a little mending here and there). Except for the one I'm feverishly working on now (for my daughter as a wedding gift - what WAS I thinking?), I don't have deadlines - I've been known to spend years on a quilt.

Hope your imploded head feels better. :hi:
