And I'm glad it does, it's better than throwing it away, but I subscribe to a couple of lists and have seen stuff like:

Half a can of house paint
1 bottle of baby formula
"I put a sofa at the end of my driveway at xxxxxxx, first one there gets it"
Plastic ice cream buckets
Carboard boxes
Front right fender for a 1987 Ford F-150 pickup
Air filter for 1980 cutlass
Bag of toiletries
Bottle of Vicks Vapo-Steam

And then the old computer books and software, and old romance novels.

it's wonderful they get passed around, but sometimes I just have to chuckle at the bizarreness of some of the stuff that gets offered, especially considering how much of it is stuff that most people just throw away instead of trying to find a home for it.

And I also love the "I put the stuff on the driveway, if you want it, don't call, just come over and get it".

1. It's a great idea.
I'm not a pack rat, but I do hate to throw away stuff that aside from my no longer needing it is perfectly fine. Sometimes it's hard to find a home for the stuff, though. I might just try that.

2. Mrs. Dave has gone berserk on Freecycle,
luckily we have as much going out as we do coming in.

Friday we got a round-bale feeder delivered, and the lady who delivered it took a toaster oven.

3. We freecycle, but I am disillusioned some
more than anything else we get ads like these -

From today -

1. I was told no more clothes.. lol so I will get rid of a few :) 3 pairs womens pants or teen girls.. They were mine.. One pair needs a button replaced.. but that should be nothing.. I just dont have the time right now.. They are all 13/14s

2. Flannel drawstring bag.. had sheets in it, would be good to hold something in.. Nice blue design...

3. This was hanging on my bed... Nothing to hang it on anymore.. One hanging candle holder... Its 4-sided and all the sides are open with pink beads.. and theres a place for a tealight candle in the middle...

4. Candlelite tea light decorative wall thingie.. its the oriental design.. You screw the holder to the wall and the tea light hangs from the wall plate and it has the glass covering for the tea light.. VERY bad description I know...

5. Corded home phone with an answering machine in it... Not the best but it does the job!! Phone even works when the power goes out!

6. Bag of glow in the dark wall stickies.. Grat for a boy!!

and this -

I have the following items to offer today. A few are reposts and some are new items. Preference will be given to people who tell me when they can pick up in Derry, the sooner the better.

a full unused bottle of Goo Gone and another bottle with a little bit left in it.

an open box of Iron Supplements 45 individually sealed 65 mg tablets

2 empty 3 pound coffee cans with lids

2 boxes of powder Rit Tint and Dye (Scarlet 5)

6 empty 3oz glass bottles with lids. These are empty formula bottles that were given to my daughter while she was in the hospital. They measure about 3½' Tall and 1¾" across the bottom.

a 1" wooden Dowel that measures 31" long

a lot of 30 pregnancy/baby magazines - titles include healthy pregnancy, expecting parents, pregnancy, baby talk, american baby, new parent, fit pregnancy, e pregnancy, pregnancy baby and you

4 - 500 piece jig saw puzzles. two of them are missing a piece but I have marked where the piece is missing from. They were given to me and missing the piece when I got them.

9 blue ball point pens. These are wal-mart brand. I don't like the way they write.
