42. Isn't that "married"?
marriage is great for celibacy... creates it even with those
bloodcurdling fights where your sexual inspiration just shuts
off to libido minus 100. And then you can wear a wedding ring
around to show other people you're celibate and hurtin' for a
shaggin. ;-)

13. Bummer of a situation. Vasectomy & condoms to avoid STDs
That pickup line would make me run. Just because you have a vasectomy doesn't mean you are safe, only means no babies. Could = random sex for some which would greatly increase chances of STDs.

11. Vasectomy for me!
I have already spread my seed enough! I already have 2 grown kids, ages 23, and 20. I also have 2 younger children ages 9yr, and a 10 month old.

I almost wish i had had it earlier. The 10 month old i did not really want. I figured i was almost free. What makes it worse i was colluded against! Partner #1 bore our 9yr old daughter. Partner #2 was childless. Partner #1 wanted a new baby, and has for a few years. She colluded with partner #2, and #2 quit taking her birth control and got pregnant. I was more or less over ruled by the ladies!

61. Why additional partners?
Hell they have sex with each other as much or more than i do! As far as age they are 28-24 respectively.

I suggest you clear your head of what you think a polygamy is and can be. You made a sweeping generalization of what our relationships are without ever knowing any of us.

I would get savaged if i made similar stereotypical observations about some groups.

26. It is if you do it right
Basicly it only works while the kid is nursing exclusively and very frequently. Once the kid sleeps through the night or starts eating solids ovulation usually isn't far behind but I know of women who've had lactational ammenhorea (I probably spelled that wrong) for over two years- quite a few of them were tandem nursing, though.

It's important to keep monitoring basal temperature and watching for signs of resumed fertility while using LAM as birth control. The best book on the subject (although it has some wierd religious elements I don't agree with) is Shiela Kippley's Breastfeeding and Natural Child Spacing.

31. I wonder how many people actually "do it right," though.
I guess they'd better, if they REALLY don't want another baby. Wierd, I was ovulating again by the two-month mark, after I had my first two babies, but after my third it took over ten months, and twenty months after I quit nursing my cycles are STILL abnormal; I've never become "regular" like I was before.:eyes:

70. None but there's nothing to worry about.
Anytime I really want to be intimate I just lead a Girl Scout troop meeting. Being around 15 5 year old girls (including my own daughter) makes me realize what can happen if I have sex.
Worried about teens having sex? Send them to me. I'll let them lead my group and inform them that any one of those squealing, hyperactive little girls that rub snot on your clothes and pull your hair could end up being your child that you will have to spend every waking moment of your life with for the next 18 years. That should be enough for any teen to decide that it's not worth it.
Hell, I'm 31 years old and that's all it takes for me.

72. Vasectomy + monogamy.
I'm trying to get a tubal, but since we don't have children, and I'm under 30, it's a huge uphill battle.

Disgusting that DH could get his vas for pretty much his say-so, but I have to jump through massive hoops to get mine.
