* - I've seen Pink Flamingos 3x before, but have never chased it with Polyester and Female Trouble. Pink Flamingos just gets joyously creepier with each subsequent viewing.

pink flamingo's i only watched once. (ewwwww). polyester you have to see in the theater with the scratch and sniff card! female trouble and polyester were on back to back on IFC on christmas day.

. . . and I included Cry Baby for good measure, since neither that or Serial Mom was included. I mean, how the HELL can you not include a movie that has Johnny Depp, Iggy Pop, David Nelson, Traci Lords and Patty Freaking HEARST in it??? Polyester includes the "Odorama" card, which I'm scared to touch after watching that.

i liked cry baby pretty much but i tend to prefer the movies with divine and edith massey in them.

I was taken to see Pink Flamingos by friends who told me nothing about the movie. Talk about :wtf: !

They had a lot more scenes than I remember seeing from the first time I saw it. At the end, there's also deleted footage.

I was 3 when it came out in the theaters.

"Pink Flamingoes" is cut by 2-3 minutes here (although the arsehole and dog-shit are suprisingly intact, and my video version has the extra scenes introduced by Walters). AFAIK "Polyester" and "Female Trouble" are long out of print on video and so I've never seen them :( When I finally get my region-free DVD player they are very high up on list of films to import.

Have you seen his latest - "A Dirty Shame"? As much as I love "Pecker" & "Cecil B Demented", etc, it felt like somewhat of a return to form and Tracy Ullman is wonderful in it.

17. Pink Flamingos shouldn't be watched by anyone under 18.

And not because of nudity and violence . . . but because adolescents and teenagers are just not READY for something as :wtf: :scared: as that. Plus adults are better at cleaning off the slime that results from having viewed an early Waters/Divine/Stole/Massey/Lochary offering.
