Need help figuring out what song this is from the 70's
I don't know the name of this song or who wrote it and I don't even know the lyrics hardly at all. I think it came out in the 70's but it could be a 60's or 80's song. It's got that Jim Croci, James Taylor, Dan Fogelberg kind of sound to it. I would probably put it in the soft rock category or easy listening.

The only lyrics I know go something like this:

Bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla.....I am coming home to you in castle walls bla, bla, bla.

Sorry but that is all the lyrics I could think of. I have been on Amazon.com for a half hour trying to figure out what song that is and nothing familiar comes up under "Castle Walls".

Does anyone have a clue what song I am talking about? I am trying to spend a $50 Amazon.com gift card and I love that song.

3. Led Zepplin--Battle of Evermore?
The Battle Of Evermore
(Page/Plant)

Queen of Light took her bow, And then she turned to go,
The Prince of Peace embraced the gloom, And walked the night alone.

Oh, dance in the dark of night, Sing to the morning light.
The dark Lord rides in force tonight, And time will tell us all.

Oh, throw down your plow and hoe, Rest not to lock your homes.

Side by side we wait the might of the darkest of them all.

I hear the horses' thunder down in the valley below,
I'm waiting for the angels of Avalon, waiting for the eastern glow.

The apples of the valley hold, The seeds of happiness,
The ground is rich from tender care, Repay, do not forget, no, no.
Dance in the dark of night, sing to the morning light.

The apples turn to brown and black, The tyrant's face is red.

Oh the war is common cry, Pick up you swords and fly.
The sky is filled with good and bad that mortals never know.

Oh, well, the night is long the beads of time pass slow,
Tired eyes on the sunrise, waiting for the eastern glow.

The pain of war cannot exceed the woe of aftermath,
The drums will shake the castle wall, the ring wraiths ride in black, Ride on.

Sing as you raise your bow, shoot straighter than before.
No comfort has the fire at night that lights the face so cold.

Oh dance in the dark of night, Sing to the morning light.
The magic runes are writ in gold to bring the balance back. Bring it back.

At last the sun is shining, The clouds of blue roll by,
With flames from the dragon of darkness, the sunlight blinds his eyes.

5. Gordon Lightfoot?
If You Could Read My Mind

If you could read my mind love, what a tale my thoughts could tell.
Just like an old time movie about a ghost from a wishing well.
In a castle dark or a fortress strong with chains upon my feet, you know that ghost is me.
And I will never be set free as long as I'm a ghost that you can't see.

If I could read your mind love, what a tale your thoughts could tell.
Just like a paperback novel, the kind that drugstores sell.
When you reach the part where the heartaches come, the hero would be me but heroes often fail.
And you won't read that book again because the ending's just too hard to take.
I'd walk away like a movie star who gets burned in a three way script, enter number two.
A movie queen to play the scene of bringing all the good things out in me,
but for now love, let's be real.
I never thought I could feel this way and I've got to say that I just don't get it,
I don't know where we went wrong but the feeling's gone and I just can't get it back.

If you could read my mind love, what a tale my thoughts could tell.
Just like an old time movie about a ghost from a wishing well.
In a castle dark or a fortress strong with chains upon my feet, but stories always end.
And if you read between the lines you'll know that I'm just trying to understand
the feelings that you lack.
I never thought I could feel this way and I've got to say that I just to get it,
I don't know where we went wrong but the feeling's gone and I just can't get it back

6. You and Now by Keith Sorensen?
http://www.lokalgrown.com/pages/lyrics_youandnow.htm

A thousand years ago, I’d climb the castle walls
just to say I love you
I’d wage a thousand wars to come home to you
in shining armor
But that was then and this is now
Back in my Grandad’s day, nothin’ would have
been for granted, we would take it all to heart
We might have walked around the garden
and would have been home by dark
But that was then and this is now,
and who’s to say who’s who or when or how
CHORUS:
Now I’m coming down, I can’t take away the pain
and I can’t live without it, yeah I’m coming down
to you and now

So now I’m knockin’ on your front door,
but it’s locked and the windows, too
And I’ve been ‘round this place at least a hundred times
still thinking there’s a way to get through
I’d love to take a fall on this belief
and I’d love to steal your heart but I’m no thief, that’s why
CHORUS

Castles in the Air

And if she asks you why, you can tell her that I told you
That I’m tired of castles in the air.
I’ve got a dream I want the world to share
And castle walls just lead me to despair.

Hills of forest green where the mountains touch the sky,
A dream come true, I’ll live there till I die.
I’m asking you to say my last goodbye.
The love we knew ain’t worth another try.

Save me from all the trouble and the pain.
I know I’m weak, but I can’t face that girl again.
Tell her the reasons why I can’t remain,
Perhaps she’ll understand if you tell it to her plain.

But how can words express the feel of sunlight in the morning,
In the hills, away from city strife.
I need a country woman for my wife;
I’m city born, but I love the country life.

For I cannot be part of the cocktail generation:
Partners waltz, devoid of all romance.
The music plays and everyone must dance.
I’m bowing out. I need a second chance.

Save me from all the trouble and the pain.
I know I’m weak, but I can’t face that girl again.
Tell her the reasons why I can’t remain,
Perhaps she’ll understand if you tell it to her plain.

And if she asks you why, you can tell her that I told you
That I’m tired of castles in the air.
I’ve got a dream I want the world to share
And castle walls just lead me to despair.
