Fans of choral music? Fans of Robert Frost? Fans of both?
Check out "Frostiana," a suite of seven Frost poems scored by Randall Thompson. Available on CD, "The Testament of Freedom" (Koch International Classics is the label). Recorded by the Manhattan Chamber Orchestra and the New York Choral Society.

The Road Less Traveled
The Pasture
Come In
The Telephone
A Girl's Garden
Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening
Choose Something Like A Star

I sang this in high school and have been in love w/ Frost's work ever since.

4. Don't know if you know of James Wright
the great American poet...I studied with him in college...

He went to Antrioch college with E.L. Doctorow after WW2, and he and Doctorow convinced a friend of theirs to attend a reading by Robert Frost and ask out loud after one of the poems "Mr. Frost, is that a real poem or did you make it up yourself?" Frost just glared at the kid and went on.
