Poll question: Everyone does or says something stupid sometimes.
When you do or say something stupid and someone calls you on it, maybe not in the nicest way possible, maybe having a little laugh at your expense, how do you usually react?

Be honest!

;-)

Any stories to share?

1. I have to be honest....because you are making me....
I am sometimes really defensive, and lots of times try to make up excuses. :hi:

2. It's not easy.
It's especially hard to admit a mistake when someone is being smug or poking fun. I really have to force myself not to be defensive, but as long as I'm conscious of it, and I know I really did screw up, I am a pretty good sport.

4. You didn't have one for
Make dumb mistake, say silly things and no one ever responds to your posts again and then you just feel like hell! Where is that one? I always think I'm funny. Well I guess it turns out I'm not funny. No feedback is worse than someone asking you what you mean by that statement.

I tell the mean people in GD that they are asses if I'm series111!!! and then I get my posts deleted. Sometimes I apologize to them. I would always apologize and feel like hell if someone thought I was being an ass on purpose and for no reason, then I feel bad.

Was that the kind of thing you were looking for?:D

6. Sure.
It's true, no feedback is worse than getting called on something. In a dispute either you eventually apologize, or realize you need to write the other person off. If no one replies you just don't know, do they not understand you, or are they so mad they put you on ignore, or did they just log off?
