What are your pets' favorite objects (besides you)?
We have a green velvet coverlet on our chaise longue, and they all love to lie on it. Morrissey seems to think it's his mother because he kneads it for 10 minutes at a time. They've also discovered the delights of lying in front of the fireplace when it's on.

1. Gabby loves his copper bell. (Picture)
He rings it constantly and tries to feed it. Sometimes he talks into it to hear the echo. :D

3. We just got our dogs a new toy they absolutely LOVE
its called a "bite-meez".

Its like a big hand puppet, but well padded. They come in different animal styles, like rabbits or zebras. You wear the hand puppet and let them bite your hand and wrestle with it. Loads of fun.

7. Where could I find something like that?
As it stands most of my shopping is done at the local Marsh. :)

4. My dog has a little stuffed carebear
It was her first toy when we got her a few months ago, and she loves that thing. Any other stuffed toy she's gotten has been ripped apart, but she won't tear up her carebear. :D.

When we got her:

10. Mice
Lucy catches 'em and brings 'em inside fairly often, and once in awhile she'll decide one's a Frisbee or something and fling it around. She flips 'em back over her head, and a couple times she's done complete back-flips in the process. If she brings one in still alive, she might chase it around a bit until I rescue it and put it back outside.

12. A batting glove is her absolute favorite.
First runner-up is any tennis ball she can find. She does an eating-corn-on-the-cob maneuver trying to bite the fuzz off. It's quite amusing.

14. Daisy loves her cuzes
For those not in the know, these are balls with feet. There are red ones with tiny ears (devils, of course) and white ones--presumably angels. Then they started coming out with colored cuz toys, so we have an orange one--easy to find in the brush. I also saw some colored ones that are like dinosaurs or dragons. They have ridged backs, but we haven't gotten one yet. The cuz has a squeaker inside--drives some dogs wild. The things last forever, and because of the feet--which some dogs manage to chew off, they bounce unpredictably, which is fun.

25. I just got our two monsters
those balls a couple weeks ago. Just the plain colored ball (one blue, one orange) with feet. Our pug can't fit balls into his mouth very well so when he finally gets this ball wedged in, there's no letting go! Of course, when he drops it, he lunges at it before his brother has a chance to get it, which causes it to keep bouncing and he lunges again and on and on and on. Once he finally backs the ball into a corner or against a wall, he opens his mouth as far as he can and wedges the thing back in. It never fails though, as he jumps back on the couch he'll bump the feet of it against a cushion and it goes bouncing off again! He refuses to just carry it by the feet, that would be too easy.

They also will each be sitting chewing on the balls (the squeakers died after only 2 days) and one will 'drop' his so the other dog will attack the dropped ball leaving his behind. Of course as soon as the other pup picks up the forgotten ball, they stare at each other and seem to say "hey, that was mine, why do you have it now?" Too cute! And the best 7 bucks I ever spent; at least now that the squeakers don't work!

This, with a blanket in it for cushioning, is his bed. Even if it didn't have the blanket in it he'd still lie in it, as he has a thing for laundry baskets. Silly cat. :silly:

22. Power adapter "bricks"
The huskies are masters. Twice they've chewed through the copper wire on both sides of the laptop's "brick" to get the thing, without unplugging or pulling the laptop off the desk.

I can't imagine how they haven't zapped themselves. :D

29. No matter what I get her,
Da Bird, Cat Dancer, you name it, if it costs money, my cat hates it.

Her favorite things are:

1. An old sock, filled with catnip and other old socks, sewn shut, with yarn "eyes" sewn on. She wrestles with it, beats the hell out of it, sleeps on it and drags it around.

2. A rubber band "squid" I made out of pure rubber bands, something I used to do while waiting for pages to load before I had broadband. She likes carrying it around and she "buries" it under the sheets on the bed.

3. A heavy boot lace that she will only play with in the bathroom.
