1. It's okay - it is cleanable (is that a word?)
Of course, turn it over on a towel and get all of the coke out of it.

You can let it dry and then remove the keys and wipe it out (I use one of those clorax towletts).

Just be sure to let it drip dry - all of the excess coke out of it.

Good luck! :hi:

Oh, and I am sure others have better suggestions than mine. If they sound smart, follow their suggestions.

If they sound like smart a**es, laugh with them. :hi:

4. If it's regular coke...very aggravating..if Diet...
..no big deal.
Regular soft drinks will cause your keys to stick like crazy.

I'm a tech and I shouldn't tell you this but what I do is:

If I get one that is "Coked" I simply undo the screws on bottom and side, take off the Keyboard and clean it..
but you might find this to much of a hassle..

5. I plan to spill Coke on my keyboard.

Accidentially, at some point in time. I just haven't done it to THIS keyboard. Yet. Then again, the keyboard is only a few months old.

So anyway at the top of my Christmas list this year was an iSkin for the keyboard. It's on now, and I feel much better with it there. Now hair and crumbs won't get in either.

Highly recommended.

7. I did this to my last Dell laptop years ago.
I quickly shut it down and dried what was on top. Then I layed a towel down and turned it upside down. Woke up the next day to sticky keys so I took it down to a local computer repair shop who opened it up and wiped it down for me.

You should always, ALWAYS, have backups of your most important files, music, and porn (just incase). :D
