"Bad Santa"-a good gift for a 12 yr. old?
Sorry I forgot to mention this in the long thread about our horrible Christmas weekend here.

So we are sitting around two days before Christmas and this is asked out loud.

"Do you all think that 'Bad Santa' is a good gift for ____ (her)?"

:spray:

My mother-in-law wanted to get a gift for her son's girlfriends 12 year old daughter. The girl is a big fan of "Gilmore Girls" so she figured anything with Lauren Graham in it would do.

We told her that that might not be appropriate.

3. No we had to inform her about it
I was going to post one of my more favorites lines from that movie (dressing room scene) but I will refrain.

I not only did a spit take I was laughing out loud.

I loved the movie. It was freakin' hilarious, but a little too raunchy for a 12 year old!! :o

7. We're dealing with children. There's a tender sensibility there...

5. Not at all!
I personally happen to be pretty liberal in what i let my kids watch at that age. I let them watch just about anything, South Park, horror movies, movies with bad language, or sexual situations etc. But Bad Santa is so tasteless and crass i am not even sure i like watching it. I have had Badder Santa for about a yr or longer, and have kept it out of my childerens hands so far.
