Taschen books!
Taschen is absolutely my favorite book publisher on earth. Any other Taschen fans out there? (If you don't know Taschen, check 'em out: www.taschen.com  )

Below (ahem, Call Me Wesley! Attention!) is the book at the top of my birthday wish list:

9. Here's their website.....
...http://www.rizzoliusa.com/index.pperl You can browse all their categories. Of course, you could always donate that pile of cash to the "Robeson Foundation". I promise, I'll put it to good use...

4. Cool!
I gave Call Me Wesley two volumes of Taschen's "History of Men's Magazines" series. I hadn't seen their Gieger books. (Arrrgh. CMW likes Gieger, too.) :hi:

7. they had...
...a limited-edition, two-volume collection of Giger artwork, large format (15" x 24" I believe), bound in a BLACK LEATHER BOX. I've been searching the rare book dealers for one for years.

The last one I listed, "http://giger.com", is a good book; it has all kinds of info, and features not just his paintings, but his sculpture, furniture design, his home, the Giger Bar in Japan, and more. Plus the Alien on skis!

8. Have you ever been to the Giger museum
in Gruyères, Switzerland? His work is a little "dark" for me, but I appreciate his technical prowess and do sort of like some of the furniture he's designed.

11. No, but I'd like to see it.
Sadly, the Tokyo Giger Bar has been closed and dismantled, so the museum is on my to-do list.

One of the guys I work with is in "a certain motorcycle enthusiasts' club", and Giger gave him a 10" cast silver Winged-Alien as a gift when they met at a convention.

beware the cheese. It stinks. :puke:

But they're well worth it.

How ya doin' gf? I'm hit-and-miss this week; no time to maintain a Nighthawks thread just now.

20. CMW doesn't have that one.
I hope we'll have the whole series at some point, though. Anything 60s and 70s, I get a kick out of it. Know what I mean, jelly-bean? ;)
