I feel like kicking my friend in the nutz next time I see him.
Here is the deal. I grew up with this guy and have kept in touch and I visit him when I am in my old hometown. He got himself a german Shepard a while back. I was chatting with him on the phone and he mentioned he trained his dog to get down by kicking it in the nuts. That makes me more than a little upset.
My question is- next time I see him in person should I just kick him in the nuts right away or wait until he does something offensive so I can claim I am just trying his training idea?

1. Kick him right away.
If he really did that, he is very very deserving of a nut-buster.

2. Kick away
And one for me, in fact, a couple. as well please. No one who has to resort to that shit to train an animal needs to have one.

3. That's sick, what your friend is doing.
Not to mention, it's animal cruelty. I'd want to kick him right away.

4. Hell, why wait until you see him next? Don't you know somebody who
lives in the same town who would be willing to do the kicking on your behalf?

Shouldn't be hard to find somebody to do it.

:grr: :argh:

Kick him hard enough to do some damage, would you? Last thing we need is that jackass breeding little people to abuse (the German Shepherd is much better equipped to fight back.) Then take the dog with you while he's writhing, please.

For that matter, what the hell's this idiot's dog got nuts for? The poor thing needs to be fixed already.

10. "The poor thing needs to be fixed already."
Thats what brought the conversation was about- he couldn't get it fixed because the balls had left the sack.

14. Why didn't his vet call?
I am hearing it second hand. He said the Vet told him he couldn't have him fixed. The Vet had to know.
I will make sure he gets the message and the dog isn't going to be abused.

16. I don't know why he didn't call
but somebody who would do this should never have an animal to care for again. Call the cops. If they don't take the dog, do it yourself.

I know you consider this guy a friend, but if he'd hurt a dog like this, he'll do the same to a vulnerable human eventually. Report him, hopefully the courts can make him get help.

6. Wait, as you said in your post. It'll be much more effective.
Though how effective is anything going to be on an ignorant asshole like that guy?

Make sure you kick him six, seven times just so the message gets through his thick skull.

(PS: It's German Shepherd (as in herding sheep), not "shepard.")

8. Kick him right away it is. I am going to show him these reply's.
I have six smaller sized mutts that live with me in my home. I have never felt the need to strike the guys. A raised voice has always worked for me. In the most extreme cases I have put the dog on its back and stared it down.

13. Is this guy really
someone you want to call friend? If he can't treat an animal with respect, he sure can't treat you with respect.

17. I hear ya.
Its a long story but I kind of feel obligated. He was abused as a child, divorced parents, drunken wife/kid beater stepfather while he grew up. He started drinking at a young age and got to the point we had to intervene. I suspect manic depressive or Bi-polar disorder.
As I have said, I have known him for a long time. He doesn't respect anything or anybody. I still want to help the guy.
That being said if it comes down to it, the dog needs to be a dog. I don't need to remain this guys friend.

22. Sounds like he's passing on
the abuse he received as a child. The best help he could get would be from a professional.

I have always heard you have to worry about the amps more than the volts when dealing with lectricity!
