Mr. DTBK's brother in Pakistan has died.
We got an e-mail yesterday that he was in the ICU, and when we called last night we learned he had died and they were just bringing his body home from the hospital. He was about 60 years old and had suffered for years from early dementia. My husband won't be able to travel home. He keeps his feelings very much to himself, but I know he's broken up about this. He said his brother was a wonderful person and was just like their mother. He had 4 children. I never got to meet him, which I very much regret, but he may not have realized who I was anyway. It's so sad.

2. Safe passage to Mr. DTBK's brother.
Love, guidance and protection to you, Mr. DTBK, family and all whose lives were touched by this man. (Gosh, a hug seems so trite, somehow. Take good care of yourself and Mr. DTBK, please.)

5. I'm very sorry for your loss
And very sorry for the period of loss you seem to be going through as it regards this and not passing the bar.

From experience all I can say is...that which doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

Be well.

Does your husband have other relatives living here? A memorial service would help you all get through this.

23. He has cousins and a niece in Toronto
We're Muslim, and the body is buried within 24 hours. When his father (Abba) died last year he went back to Pakistan, and he was a little angry with his brother (not the one who just died) because he was insistent on burying Abba immediately and not waiting for my husband to arrive so he could see the body. He says he feels "weak and empty." He's sleeping right now. Must be so hard to be so far away from his family at this time.

Thanks to everyone, again, for your care and concern.

That has to be very frustrating that he can't go to Pakistan to be with the rest of his family at this time.

You will both be in my thoughts.

26. My condolences for his loss.
I am sorry that you didn't get to meet him and that Mr. DTBK is facing another family loss without being home for the funeral. I hope that you can find a way to memorialize him here and feel the sense of saying goodbye in a meaningful way. I wish you both peace.

28. My sincere and heartfelt thoughts, prayers, condolences and deepest
Sympathies go out to you, your husband and your husband’s family on the death of your brother-in-law. I know how difficult it can be to lose someone you love so dearly who is so far away from you geographically because it happened to me recently so I can understand some of what your husband must be feeling. Once again, you and your husband and his family have my thoughts, prayers, deepest sympathies and condolences

30. May I offer my condolences?
That's a bad situation all around. I do hope that you will be able to get your husband to express his grief in a way that will allow you to console him; as one of those people who "keeps his feelings to himself" myself, I will tell you that it's been good when Mrs R has drawn me out a bit in those situations.

Wishing the best for you and Mr DTBK.

Redstone

60 is way to young to die. I lost my dad at that age.
