I just heard a band call Take Six....

I believe they were a boy band from the 90's...

With R&B overtones...

Anyway, they applied the "modern" pop take on the song...

By that I mean the surrounded the note written on the page with every note anywhere within a two octave rang... They were all over the note... Drowning it... Destroying it... "Deconstruction" it, if you will...

And then the moaning in the background... It sounded like they were constipated...

So yes, I have officially gotten old...

I have channeled my father from beyond the grave...

That's a damned fine description. Ever listen to anyone mangle "Amazing Grace" or the National Anthem? Everyone's a fuckin' Whitney Houston. (That's one of the reasons I could never watch Idol.)
