1. mcg is microgram = solid
cc is liquid.

Sometimes a drug given via IV is written as 5mg per 2cc's...etc.

3. This direction I have sez "Each spray delivers 25 mcg"
I want to get one half of a cc from this liquid. How do I do it?

A cc is the same as mm is it not?

Any help would be appreciated.

9. No, 1 cc = 1 milli-litre
Not 1 milli-metre.

2. conformability error
[bishop@ws007 bishop]$ units
2084 units, 71 prefixes, 32 nonlinear units

You have: mcg
You want: cc
conformability error
        1e-09 kg
        1e-06 m^3

5. Holy Moley, that is completely over my head.
Here's my problem. I have a container that is 25 ML. A
dispenser pump comes with this container and it dispenses a
measured 25 mcg. I want to get one half of a cc out of this
container using this dispenser. Is this possible without
using a syringe?

10. A pump that dispenses mass?
Pumps generally deliver a volume (at particular speed (aka
flux)). Perhaps I'm simply not understanding; I would need to
inspect the pump to assist further.

At any rate, one-half of a milli-litre is a remarkably small
volume. If you need precision, you should use a graduated
cylinder of some form (like a syringe).

4. Mcg = micrograms, a unit of mass, cc = cubic centimeters, a unit of volume
The two are different.

That having been said, half a cc is a very small amount, a couple/few drops of whatever liquid you are talking about. One or two nasal sprays with a typical dispenser (like for Afrin nasal spray) would probably deliver around a half a cc of whatever the liquid is..

It might help if you could be more specific about what substance you are dealing with.

7. You should be able to get a calibrated eyedropper that has markings
that shows how much you are drawing up, maybe at the drugstore...

Also sometimes things for nebulizers come in the unit dose, like in the picture:

8. I'm no expert, but from what I'm seeing online, it looks like nasalide
(a steroid) is primarily sold as a nasal spray formulation. I guess there have been studies like in the link below where it's been added to albuterol nebulizers and been effective in asthma, but it doesn't look like the standard nasalide formulations are designed for nebulizers. I suppose if you are using it for this reason, the physician and/or pharmacist should provide instruction on how to make the nasalide into a nebulizer treatment, you shouldn't have to ask online... ask the pharmacy...

11. You can't measure like that
it depends on the substance. 5 cc = 1 teaspoon.
