We have the WORST movie theater ever!
We just called the theater to find out if they would be playing Munich tonight. They told us no and that they didn't have any plans to show it. Yet, for some reason they will play a movie (Ringer) about a guy who rigs the Paralympics. This isn't the first time they've done this. they won't play Brokeback Mountain, they wouldn't play Syriana, and they won't play the documentary about Wal-Mart, and they wouldn't play Good Night and Good Luck even after all the good reviews. IThey waited several week to play Fahrenheit 9/11 last year.
It's making me so mad because I wait weeks to see these movies and then they won't play them. So my only other options are to pay about $8 plus gas to drive 40 miles and see it at a different movie teater, or wait 6 months to rent it.
I understand that they are just trying to appeal to younger people...but they could at least play some serious movies for a change. I highly doubt Cheaper by the Dozen 2 would have made more money this week than Munich (or any of the others mentioned).

Does anyone else have this problem?

1. 'Good Night, and Good Luck' hasn't played here
F911 did, though... which surprised me.

2. You won't have to wait 6 months for the DVD.
DVDs come out much faster now since the studios make more profits on the DVDs than on the theatrical run.

3. I agree. Wait for the DVDs.
And if you are a member of NetFlix, you can put them in your queue and get them as soon as they are released. I never go to movie theaters. I would rather watch the films at home without putting up with the crowded theaters.
