I just got a call from my potential manager. It seems one of their clients may bounce some work back next week, and she has no people in town. Would I be willing to stand by for emergency freelance work? Hell, yes! I mean, why, certainly, it's not a problem at all. Thank you for calling and have a wonderful Christmas.
So, it's a live-fire exercise that could clinch the job for me.
