A Holiday Story For Your Amusement
Donald Rumsfeld is giving the president his daily briefing. He concludes by saying: "Yesterday, 3 Brazilian soldiers were killed."

"OH NO!" the President exclaims. "That's terrible!"

His staff sits stunned at this display of emotion, nervously watching as the President sits, head in hands.

Finally, the President looks up and asks, "How many is a brazillion?"

1. It's just as magical as the 25,000th airing of "It's a Wonderful Life"
This damn joke is a DU tradition. :-)

2. LOL! However I have been informed that, apparently, I'm the last person
on the planet to read this joke and my SO has threatened mayhem if it is posted again.

4. I've been here for less than 10 minutes this morning
and I've seen this twice!

But, I love it so you get no complaints from me.

I'm still debating on if I should tell it at my parents' house during Christmas; I don't want to start a political war but at the same time I'd love the opportunity to point and laugh at how stupid my parents are for supporting this nut job. They usually avoid all * talk around me but I'm dying to hear their take on the damn patriot act extension the 'pukes won't approve as well as the wire tapping. What do you think? Keep the peace and leave as soon as possible or subtly get a conversation/fight started?

6. keep the peace; it's way easier on the blood pressure, and if you're
going to make the effort to hang out with your parents on Christmas, don't make it uncomfortable for you and them. just my .02 :)

12. You're right
I'll behave myself. Unless someone else starts it first, then I will be forced to chime in.

But, we're barely spending any time with them this year, maybe 4 or 5 hours Christmas evening as opposed to seeing them on Christmas Eve for a bit and then about half the day on Christmas. So, I will try to keep my anger and hatred locked up for that short amount of time. Besides, even if we did get a casual conversation going my dad would spoil it in about 3 minutes by screaming that anyone who doesn't support * should die or leave America and never look back.

Bring on the in-laws and drinks! My husband is so lucky to have such an awesome family!!
I'm planning to show up to my mom's a little tipsy off of Grandma-in-law's hot vodka punch (or rum, I don't remember for sure) and as long as Mom and Dad don't realize I've been drinking and think I'm just in a good mood, I'll have a great night!
