Happy Birthday to my son!
He's a whopping 12 today, and we figure that in another six months or so he'll be taller than I am. Any words of wisdom for him?

3. He would thank you himself, but
He and a friend are playing Tony Hawk on the PS2. I told them that they could have the living room from ten to midnight...then it's time for them to at least think about going to bed.

6. All they want until midnight
He's a great kid as long as his meds are adjusted. We had a pretty rough spot a couple of months ago, but after the dust settled, he was fine.

7. My b/fs nephew
is autistic and has ADHD. He needs to be on meds. When he is, he's great. When he's not, he's a real handful. My b/f has custody of him and also has custody of his daughter. Keeps him busy.
Best of luck with him. Raising kids is not easy. I don't have any but I see what my b/f goes through. :hi:

8. Even on the meds...
Sometimes he's a handful...We're dealing with the beginnings of puberty as well as the ADHD and Asperger's. He got a robotic velociraptor from my parents. The cats weren't sure what to make of it. Bear, the big male, rolled over, belly up, surrender. Dora and Scribbles stalked and swatted, then eventually got bored. He's also getting a chemistry set for Christmas...he loves science!

9. COOL!
My b/fs daughter has that velociraptor! It's kind of cool!

I didn't know he had Asperger's. You sure got your hands full. Bless your heart. :hi:

10. Happy Birthday to your son
I don't have any words of wisdom for him, but I offer you a big hug cuz I've been there recently. My son is now 14 and the changes of the past few years have been unbelieveable. He's grown over 8 inches, gained 50 pounds and gone from a size 7 to an 11 in men's shoes. My boy is now a young man and it still freaks me out to see him with a 5 o'clock shadow. My son just passed me in height( I'm 5'8") and is closing in on Dad. Give your son a big hug and let him know that you will always be there for him. I still get hugs and snuggles and I treasure every one of them.

12, eh? Just tell him his mom might not always be right, but she's always trying to do what's best for him. :)
