I'm getting old. How about KC and the Sunshine Band for "K" and Zazu Piutts Memorial Orchestra or Buckwheat Zydeco for the "Z". Being 50 something can be a bitch.

9. Ah, I don't have it yet
but now I'll think twice about buying it ;-).

I saw Liz on either Conan or Leno a few weeks ago, and she played a really wretched, hyper-poppy love song. Is it all like that?

25. Actually, no
I think "Why Can't I" is the most overtly pop song there - and it can't match Avril. Otherwise, I think it's a fun CD that's a little disappointing.

That out of the way, I'll try the list:

A: Abba
B: The Beatles
C: The Corrs
D: Dixie Chicks
E: Elvis
F: Fleetwood Mac
G: Go Gos
H: Kay Hanley
I: Indigo Girls
J: The Jayhawks
K: Alison Krauss
L: Annie Lennox
M: Moody Blues
N: New Pornographers
O: Sinead O'Connor
P: Peter, Paul & Mary
Q: Queen I guess
R: R.E.M.
S: Simon & Garfunkel
T: James Taylor
U: U2
V: Luther Vandross
W: Hank Williams, Sr.
X: can't think of one
Y: Dwight Yoakam
Z: Zwan

Note: there are a lot of artists I love and this list may not be perfect.

But I can see some TOUGH choices, there...

Hmmm.

The Replacements...or REM (Paul and Michael are both gods)?
Uncle Tupelo ... or U2 (Jay/Jeff rule, but UT did only 4 albums - Still Feel Gone is my fave, how about you)?
Cat Power ... or The Cure?
Sonic Youth ... or The Smiths?

Emmm, and I'd have to go with Steve Earle over Duke Ellington, great as he is...

But at least there was ONE easy one - XTC!
(I so wish that Andy would get over is damn stage fright and TOUR, damn it)
