What. The. Fuck? A tale of road rage.
So my little brother is just driving down the street minding his own business and gets into an accident. Light was green, the guy turned on red in front of him, voila, collision. They both pull over.

And the guy gets out of his car and starts shooting at my brother's car. Then the guy comes up to the car door, tries to open the car, and says, "Don't get out of the car!" Then the guy leaves.

:wow:

Brother's OK, his car is a wreck, he does have insurance, but, I mean, :wtf: Literally. What. The. Fuck.

2. Oh. My. God.
That dude has some serious issues.

I am so happy for you and your brother that he is all right. Shaken, no doubt, but all right. Here. Give him this hug from DU.

4. Will do, thanks.
Think the guy was probably a drug dealer or some sort of gangland type. The 'hood he was driving through was not the best... but I drive through that area all the time!

5. Maybe you should reconsider driving through that area, LOL.
I'm still amazed. You guys can really count your blessings at the Christmas/holiday dinner table this year. ;)

10. Gaston and Fitzhugh.
I live east of there, and Gaston's pretty handy.

I mean, it's not a great area, but it's not THAT bad. We thought!!!!!!!!!

11. I used to live right there at that corner a few years ago
Big red house with guard post things in the yard. I love that part of town and you are right, Gaston is very handy.

13. Well, its the only house at the intersection and its in dire need of help
My ex-husband and I weren't together long enough to do anything with it. I love all of old east dallas/lakewood... lived over there for years. That particular block where this incident happened is not so great except for Swiss Ave. When I lived there and had to mow the lawn, I had to first do a little walk around the yard to pick up syringes lest they go through the mower and wind up sticking out of my arm or leg. Gun shots every night etc. It does have character though, and not so many places around Dallas do.

I apologize for going off topic so badly... I am glad your little brother is ok, and insured for the car. That is very good news.

I actually live east of the lake, near Casa Linda, off of Garland Road. It's like everywhere in Dallas proper, your good neighborhood next to your not-so-good neighborhood. What are you gonna do if you like the character and the wonderful old homes? :7 :hi:

17. right :)
My current neighborhood is pretty good for a couple of blocks in each direction, Oak Lawn area, but the trade off for me is that I am under the flight pattern for Love Field. Oh well. There are worse things. :)

18. Ah. Yes, planes.
I'm sure that gets old. Well, I'll think of you next time I discuss the Wright Amendment with somebody. :D Eddie Bernice Johnson says if they repeal it she'll submit a bill to shut Love Field down. Heh. I have to drive to DFW for all my flights anyway, so I think things are best left alone.

night night, nice chatting w. you! :hi:

say such things without irony.
