Yes - we had it early. And this year I got to host. My parents, 2 sisters and brother and their families, and my family. 20 or 21 - I'm not sure. (OK- 1 sister's family did not come for complicated reasons.)
There were a few moments of relational angst and times where kids were bouncing off the walls. My daughter stayed in her room.
I thought the turkey was NEVER going to get done (the Joy of Cooking was WRONG). I guess it's nice for everyone to get together.
I'm glad it's over.

Christmas, too, for that matter. For me, the holidays lost their edge about twenty years ago.
