At least for what I'm looking for should I go satellite. About 6-7 months ago I started looking into getting Satellite Radio. I can't get Air America radio here in Wilmington DE and I am a Howard Stern fan. Figured I'd get Sirrus so I could not only have both of these stations PLUS some great music selections to boot. In fact 6-7 months ago, only Sirrus radio played all of Air America's stations but XM only carried part of it.
But then AAR made a pact to go exclusely with XM radio and thus there was no more AAR found on Sirrus. Now Sirrus does have some liberal talk show programs, but if I'm going to listen to liberal radio I definately would want Al Franken and plus I'd want to support Randi Rhodes & Mike Malloy who have been there since even before AAR (Plus I met Mike Malloy - he's a really great guy!).
So the big thing I'm finding is that both satellite companies offer great exclusive material. It's a matter of figuring out why you're buying Satellite and going with the service that provides what you're looking for. Most people who talk about getting Sirrus are doing so for Howard Stern. To be honest, that would be the only reason I get Sirrus. But to be honest, if I get Satellite I'll probably go with XM so I can have AAR provided I can find an XM receiver NOT made by Delphi.
Here is what Sirrus has for progressive talk radio (Btw, they have TWO conservative talk programs)
