3. Correct me if I'm wrong, but
isn't it a discount store? Did they intend on giving it a name that could be seen as riske?

5. "BJ's Warehouse." Like Costco.
Their house brand of merchandise is called Berkely & Jensen. We shop there. It's never bugged me, and I am super-ultra-sensitive about random ugly sex talk. I never even thought of it that way.

7. slightly off topic but...
I did a double take by a store called the French Connection UK(or something like that). They just abbreviated the letters on their sign FCUK. Have a picture of it somewhere because I thought it was so funny.

19. I think that is totally intentional.
They run ads with the initals in huge letters as well.

9. And there's a Mexican restaurant here that's called
"C.O. Jones" which if you take out the periods and spaces and capital letters is pretty damn insulting to Hispanics.

There's cute, and there's just stupid. This one is just stupid. I'd not eat there if they would feed me for free.

20. Truth. It's in Hamden, Connecticut. The local Spanish folks have
bitched and complained, but have not been able to get them to change it. I'd starve before I'd eat there.

21. Is it a Mexican restaurant not owned by Mexicans?
Not a good way to attract Latino customers; they must be catering to the gringos. :hi:

22. Of course it's owned by honkies.
And it attracts the 21 to 25 lowlife bar crowd, so I don't suspect the food is all that good either.

Feh. We go to the Mexican restaurant in Middletown, where the staff barely speaks English, and we can get Carnita Verde burritos and REAL Margaritas (Tequila, Triple Sec, and lime juice, and none of that sweet-and-sour crap).

Some kwikimart chain here changed their name to Kum & Go, which I found a rather horrid name, it didn't last long though and now is back to something else.

Just kidding, I'm a neighbor. Not sure if some ownership deal or what, but the name certainly didn't last long here in town. I'm sure a lot of people get a kick out of it. I always liked Pump & Pantry myself.

Peace

Sam's is a half mile away, BJ's is 20.

We make a family outing of it and Walmart doesn't get my money!
