Can anyone give me info on satellite tv service? Is it still possible

to get a system that receives whatever the heck one wants? When satellite technology first came out, the dish came with a phonebook-sized guide and a tunable receiver. Can this still be done? Thanks.

Probably not. Everything's scrambled now. Ku-band is about it now:grr:
