Two malls, Costco, and a World Market later...
Today was the shopping day from hell. Of course I should have known not to go to the mall today. What was I thinking?! I was perfectly content to sit here this morning and post in the Lounge and pick out things from the National Geographic store. Why did I leave? Beats me. Well, there was one compensation.

I got to Mall #1 in Raleigh and all the parking spaces in the practically nonexistent parking lot were taken. :grr: I circled that place for 1/2 hour before giving up and heading to Mall #2.

Frustrated from Mall #1, I stopped off at a strip mall to refresh myself, and found this wonderful little italian place to have lunch. One portobello mushroom, a chicken breast sandwich, and a glass of red wine later and I've got a major attitude adjustment. Things are looking up. :-) Plus the owner was a major hottie. Eye candy definitely helped. :D

Mall #2 is much larger, has oodles of acres of parking, and is closer to my house. So I get there, and same thing. No parking spaces. People are in fact parking on the grass boundaries AROUND the mall. Now, I'm not so frustrated, I just laugh it off and head to my last stop.. Costco.

Costco is crowded but not unbearably so. I can look and sample, and cross several more gifts off my list.

Whew! It's good to be home. I think I want some more wine....

1. I still like that sandwich...
:D

And Costco rules the waves!

At least it wasn't a total waste of time. I suppose I should start thinking about what I'm going to get people, at least the few people I get things for these days. :-)

Wlecome home...put your feet up...and a little tipple can't hurt...

3. Amen to that!
:D

All in all, I'm glad I found that little restaurant. That made the trip worth it.

Wait a sec...yeah... the bra's coming off too... That's MUCH better.

I don't usually spend a lot at xmas, but I do feel like sharing my good fortune this year. :-) Who knows what will happen by next year?

4. The bra's coming off, too?
:o

Please, keep going...don't let me stop you...more wine?

:loveya:

I like your attitude regarding this season....splash out a bit when things are good but don't go insane 'cos you never know when you'll need the dinero. I hope it's a great holiday season for you -- you deserve a really, really happy time.

6. Yes, more wine please
:D

I do as they say, "have a nice rack," eventhough I'm little.

And all bras, regardless of the 18hour promise on the package, get to be confining after a while.

Or maybe that's just me... :7

2. Thank goodness I'm done shopping!
I was able to avoid the mall, and just head to a Borders and Bed, Bath and Beyond in addition to a local bookstore.

Malls scare me this time of year. :scared:

9. Marvelous idea
I've gotten several things this year online. I'm now mostly looking for little stocking stuffer type items.
