1. That's exactly why I'm job hunting myself.

My job did the same thing to me at my last review. More duties, bigger title, no raise AT ALL. I didn't even bother asking for one because I knew I would just have to leave there anyway.

Companies think that by giving you a big title then that should be compensation enough. HA! Until I can pay my rent with my title, then they're dead wrong.

3. Well, it's really stupid on their part.

Pre-"promotion", I busted my ass and did some incredible things. Post-"promotion", I do the bare minimum my job requires. Fuck that - if I get exactly the same compensation, there's no point in putting in the effort. I'll just cruise until I get a new job.
