I'm totally convinced
You have have decent home fries without onions. Garlic is preferable too, but onions are mandatory.

7. Well, in the south they are known as hash browns, NOT
home fries!! :P And they were probably invented in the south anyway!! :o :rofl: I kid, I kid!!!

3. well, they are commonly served w/ breakfast
they're cubed potatoes cooked in a skillet. You take potatoes cooked to just fork-tender and fry them in a skillet in butter. I, of course, think that onions and garlic have to be part of the equation.

10. I just cut up Taters any old way...
And throw 'em into a hot oil and garlic and onion and Oregano mix....

Throw a little sea salt, some ground pepper and a dash of hot sauce...
