Chris Rock "pissed off the wrong people," will not host Oscars
Chris Rock will not host the Oscars

Your only reason for watching the Oscars is gone. The Academy has decided to find a new host for the upcoming awards show. It turns out Chris Rock pissed off the wrong people by pointing out the obvious during last year's event.

Word is, Rock alienated some academy members when he hosted the award show because he mocked the very thesphood of such thespians as Tobey Maguire and Jude Law. An enraged Sean Penn stood up to defend Law, saying the Brit was "one of our finest actors."
Great, now I'll probably have to marvel at 3 and a half hours of Whoopi Goldberg's comedic prowess. Or even better, Billy Crystal. It's clear that they're trying to kill off an already dwindling audience, so why not just bring in Gallagher and get it over with?

4. Nah, for the Oscars, you'd need Kim Cool, Skip Zipper, and
George Leroy Tinebiber, uh, TIREBITER.

I think "Ten Dead Bats" is gonna sweep the Oscars this year unless there's a hostage situation.

6. Can't have anything interesting on the Oscars.
Better get Ray Romano to host. Can't have anything that reeks of controversy.

11. Sarah Silverman would be a good choice...
...from what I understand, she never upsets or offends anyone.

9. OMG - it is illegal to mock anybody and he should be in jail for life.
:eyes:

If modern day actors can't figure out what has been going on for a long time, screw it.

Of course, I didn't watch it so I don't know the full context of what he said - but chances are I doubt he was being deliberately hurtful.

16. Bring back Steve Martin! And kill Joe Piscopo in the monologue.
And the only reason I bring up Joe is because Crystal's existence always reminds me of Piscopo's existence, and I don't like Joe.
