Christopher Smith of England rode 16,000 miles and covered much of Eurasia. The link above has photos, synopsis of his trip and maps. I got a signed copy of his book from my sister (she and her husband are friends of his in the UK) and just started reading it. It's wonderfully written by a man who challenged himself beyond his limits and learned much about himself in the process.
