but it isn't bad either. Just a crafy use of neon tube representation based on the use of neon on seedy strip clubs. Though in a way that makes it odd as strip clubs have nothing to do with porn. But there is the tie in that both involve nudity and the engagement of sexuality. And as for the Dove every woman ads, nice but not quite broad enough in who is included.

it's not even enough to notice. In Europe people get to see topless women in their ads, and that's just how it is. Be nice if the US finally got over its aversion to nudity and sex. As for where the ad is seen all depends on where a site gets its ads from. Different places make different choices, after all you never see a McDonald's ad in Vanity Fair.

to me porn is showing someone having sex. Showing a solitary person naked is at most erotica, though not always. An outline in neon tubes of a woman? It's not even that much. nobody is using Degas nudes to illustrate an ad about porn because that would be ridiculous. But it's obviously OK, even in liberal circles, to use (as others have put it) a "mud-flap girl."

Woman's body = porn --is the subliminal message. It is a sexist association (no, it's not offensive visually). The message reaches a wide audience because it plays on the fact that liberals can be as sexist as conservatives, and just as protective of their rights to pornography (which is certainly not in jeopardy). The masses will have pornography even if every other freedom of expression is taken away. It really doesn't need defending.
