3. I have been doing alright .

I lurk on the DU - I am so out of the loop with everything that goes on the DU that I don't post anymore :) And yes I am hoping for a lot of snow - if it does , I know that it won't be a lot of snow , but I want just enough to cover the streets . Honestly , I just need some time off from work to regain some sanity :)

I remember last year in February I was in NC. I went from Charlotte to Raleigh with the car. It snowed and all the drivers were slow as hell. I could tell they weren't used to snow and never heard of winter tires.

I know so many retired people who get full time jobs, and people who work two or three jobs. Too many people are not even working forty hour weeks with even one job. I try to find ways to pass the winter months without getting too crazy.
If I travel I pack extra stuff - like a small oil filled heater. Sometimes I even pack a coffee grinder and my coffeepot.
