At 5:00 this morning I was bundled up in long johns, ski pants, cashmere sweater, boots, heavy gloves, face mask and scarf, waiting for the airport shuttle. At 5:00 this evening I was walking around in a sweater and jeans on the Charleston waterfront.

The clothing you are wearing sounds better than Chicago, where the temperature has fallen all day. :(

2. Downtown is pretty

It's very quiet. Charlestonians are shivering. Temperatures in the 50s are unbearable suffering to them.

Good luck on the interview tomorrow. Do you think this is a city where you could live? I've never been to Charleston.

Did you see that the Grace Memorial Cooper River bridge is coming down?

My wife and I lived on King Street near the Battery in 1957.

Charleston can be a nice city. It can take forever to learn the ways.
