What do Scarlett Johanson and The Five Satins have in common?
(The Five Satins, for those aged 55 or less, is the doo-wop group that sang "In the Still of the Night" which is one of the greatest doo-wop songs)...

What they have in common is that I learned something intersting about them both today.

First, Scarlett Johansom was as lovely at age 12 as she is today. I saw the movie "Home Alone 3" today, in which she plays the little kid's older sister. She is a gorgeous creature, and she was astonishingly lovely in that movie as a 12 year old.

Second, there were actually only four Satins, not Five. I was watching one of those doo-wop reviews on the local PBSsation today and they showed an old film clip of the group singing "In the Still of the Night". Only thing was there were only four singers, not five. And a google search of the group provides differing accounts of the number in the group... one says four, another says five.

Anyhow, that's some cool info I found on this otherwise dismal day.

1. I had no idea that was Scarlett Johansson in Home Alone 3
"Mom, Alex put the toilet seat down on his thing again!" (Or something to that effect.)

Why I remember that, I have no idea, haha.

2. Really? You did not recognize her?
I guess the fact that her beautiful image is imprinted on my brain is something unique to me.

Honestly, she is the most gorgeous woman on earth, IMO. I have got to get a DVD of Lost in Translation so i can see it whenever I want. A great film and she was sensational in it.

3. I haven't seen that movie in like seven years, haha
I've got a total crush on her as well. Lost In Translation is excellent.

4. Sorry, my Canadian friend, she's mine.
She and I were both born in NYC, so I get preference, even tho I am old enough to be her grandfather.

Seriously, I suspect we are far from alone in our admiration of herf beauty.
