Golly it's cold out this morning!!! 3 degrees here on the lakefront. I
can't take it and it's only December. I hope my blood thickens up soon. Coldest part of the state was Ann Arbor this morning at a -3. Brrrrrr......cold! :scared:

3. Oh MrsGrumpy
It's zero degrees here with a chill factor of minus 7. I won't want to go outside, but I must.

up with their arms sticking out. But....now...it's time for COFFEE! Really HOT coffee! Stay warm! :hi: On edit: I always tell friends that Michigan is positively "balmy" compared to FonduLac. :hi:

4. Thanks MrsGrumpy. I can always use a little perspective
I was thinking how miserable it was to walk my dog on the beach this morning. 25 mph onshore wind with drizzly rain.
Now I can see the bright side, at least it is 65 degrees.

Bundle up and stay warm up there!

7. Thank you FLS!
I cannot stand wind either, so I feel for you in that respect. I bet your dog loves it though. :) :hi:

5. Is that Farenheit or Celcius?
Either way, make some good warming soup and stay indoors is my advice.

8. Farenheit! Even living as close to Canada as we do! We're still
backwards! :) It's good to see you. How's work going? I kid you not, when I get up mornings I sometimes add on the hours and wonder what your up to across the pond at work. :hi:

9. I much prefer Farenheit
In summer 100 degrees feels like 100 degrees - but when it comes to temps like that :scared: we're at 44 today.

Things aren't too bad here, I've got a dash of a cold, but nothing too serious.

Apart from nasty weather - how are things with you? :hi:

10. Feel better! We're okay. My daughter has a ring dedication ceremony
this morning for their class rings. I have no idea what that is, but I guess I'll find out. If I brave the cold that is. Her school is so far away! Things are great. I actually talked MrG into going shopping with me. Unheard of even! :hi:

It's 20 degrees here, but that's cold for Maryland. I'd hate to be in your neck of the woods. Brrr.

left for school. I couldn't believe the number of kids walking by without hats and gloves! Brrrrrrrrrr..is right.

17. It's crazy, isn't it?
They send home note after note....telling parents that if it is above freezing, they send the kids out for recess. I always see them huddled in groups when I drive by the school. James sometimes gets mad at me for bundling him...but is grateful come lunch time. :hi:

21. I felt really bad for the crossing guard
He had no gloves, no hat and no hood. I haven't seen one dressed warm yet since it's gotten so cold. They use the 5th graders here as guards and they have to be out there for 20-30 minutes. I wish the school would at least keep extra gloves for them to use. They do supply ponchos for rainy days.

19. I love Sheboygan.
 This time of year I always miss my home state. Christmas was always a big time of year for us. It is sad that my Grandfather died the day after Christmas...and my aunt the week before, because we always had such grand celebrations, and the holiday seems just a little jinxed now. :(

well, that was a downer, eh? Sorry about that. :hi:

20. No prob.
We used to get together with my Mom's mother and the relatives, (usually at her house in Germantown,) and it was always to me either one huge :boring: or a bunch of opinionated assholes snarling at each other. :-)

Oh, and we had food and football, of course. :D

"Gramma" died in 1989, we seldom get together any more.

And then there are the times we got together with my DAD'S family...:scared:
