It was because the Founding Fathers did not want religion mixing with government and f*cking everything up. They were obviously much smarter than many who live today. :-(

is that it doesn't matter to the people who would push their agenda. For them the Bible trumps the Constitution. Or I should say their misinterpretation of the Bible.
