Anyone have any advice about Anonymizer?
Is it user-friendly, effective, etc.? Better alternative? Thanks!

1. It's OK
I prefer Proxify:

6. Only the free version
I don't have a tremendous need for anonymous surfing. To me, it just seems easier to use than Anonymizer -- not that Anonymizer is hard.

3. Anonymizer went "for pay" after scoring a huge contract with the Feds
Use at your own risk.

5. They allow you to surf the Web anonymously...

so that the sites you visit can't be tracked, nor the IP address your computer is sitting at.

As far as I know, the only "free" one left is proxify.com. (They still charge you to surf more popular sites.)

If you're worried about people watching what you're doing on the Internet, feel free to use one.

8. I'm sorry, it was NOT Anonymizer; it was SafeWeb
I don't know why I got the two mixed up. Apparently, a lot of people do. Maybe SafeWeb used to call their anonymous browser service "Anonymizer". I don't know.

Anyway, never mind.
