For those of us who called bullshit on this thing from the moment the drumbeat of war began, the newfound determination by "the liberal media" to get to the truth behind this immoral and completely unnecessary war is bittersweet. When the massive troop pullout begins in earnest in 2006, it will be a humiliating defeat for America in every possible way. And while I enjoy seeing Dick "the Hammer's Hammer" Cheney struggle embarrassingly to get his footing after failing to get any traction whatsoever on his "revisionist historians" crap, I can't help but wonder if he and the Administration learned their propaganda approach from Richard Gere and the gerbil: repeat the unlikely story enough times, and it will magically become true.
