Needless to say, if you haven't seen this terrific, very relevant film, please do so. I may see it again...it's that good.

From the writing to the acting (David Strathairn as Edward R. Murrow is particularly good), this is a must see film.

1. not to mention the choice of music
Yes, it was terrific. Lots of Oscar noms in the future. Maybe Strathairn will get his due.

3. if Straithairn does win an Oscar

I hope the academy makes it clear that it is a delayed honor for his "Best Hollywood Portrayal Of A Cajun Ever" in Passion Fish.

That, or his ongoing role as Sam Waterston's swarthy younger brother.

5. I've read some reviews where the scenes with DIanne Reeves were....
thought to be "distracting". I couldn't disagree more. The music was a nice addition to the film.

And I do hope Strathain gets his due. Presumably, it would be as Best Actor...some tough competition, though. I'd LOVE to see "Good Night and Good Luck" win Best Picture...talk about your pointed messages. :-)

2. We saw that movie last week
I cannot say I enjoyed it...in the enjoyable sense...but it was an excellent film. And I agree with you about David Strathairn...I have always liked him.
