What should I ask for for Christmas?

My mother wants to send me some Christmas gifts. What I really need are new tires for one of my vehicles and help paying off my medical bills. We have a relatively small place. It is already cluttered and I hate getting rid of the stuff that I already have. I like books and clothes and cds, but I already have a lot and don't hve enough space for what I already have. Really, I don't want anything. I just want the things that I mentioned because I have been worried about that and don't feel right getting anything while I have that stuff hanging over my head.

1. If she won't give you money, what about a gift card?

That way you can either a)sell the gift card on ebay or b)use it to buy other stuff you need, so your money is freed up for the tire and the bills.

I'm with you all the way. I need 234723984797397812 dollars of work done on my car, I think, and I don't want a frickin pair of shoes or whatever.

But what's the worst that can happen if you don't pay your medical bills? If you can't pay, you can't pay. We don't have debtor's prison, thank goodness (cause I'd be in it).

if she doesn't want to give you a gift card to the Goodyear place, maybe she can get you an American Express gift card or something like that, so you can take it to any place you want and technically she's not giving you money and she can feel good about getting you a "real" present
